Why we created the
Resilient Families Membership

Over two decades of working with families, we’ve seen parents face two choices: book an expert, which can feel like a big step, or piece together advice from books and influencers. We don’t think either is good enough.

So we created a warm, accessible and affordable space offering support, practical guidance and a clear philosophy for your home, alongside a like-minded community, helping you relax, enjoy the process and build lasting resilience in your family.

Meet the founder

A little bit about our founder

I’m Terry Rubenstein – your Alpha Membership Mum: mother of six, grandmother of eight, and for over two decades, pioneering teacher of a transformative  model of resilience and wellbeing to individuals, families, schools, and organisations worldwide.

More than two decades ago, I hit a rock-bottom moment that changed everything. It started with a personal turning point when I was in my late twenties (with five little ones under the age of seven) which radically changed how I understood my entire emotional world.  Everything I learned then – and since – has become the basis of  what is now known as the ‘Resilience Framework’. This membership is where I bring all that knowledge and experience home.

Resilient Families

Why this is different

This isn’t a place to fix your child, and it’s not a place to fix you.

It’s about living your family’s best life. It’s about building foundations underneath the daily drama – a resilient family culture that can hold real life: the arguments, the mess, the tender bits, the hard seasons…

When a family has a shared lens and a shared language, things begin to shift. You stop parenting in isolation. Members of the  family begin to support each other.
And the home starts to feel calmer – not because life necessarily gets easier, but because you have something solid holding it all up.

Resilience stops being something you “should have”. Rather, it becomes a quiet superpower woven into the fabric of your home – something you can return to again and again.

Our unique
definition of resilience

When people say “be resilient,” they often mean: push through, toughen up, cope better. But that’s not resilience – that’s survival mode. We define resilience differently.

Resilience is knowing your wellbeing is intact, even when you can’t feel it. Knowing that changes everything. Hard moments stop being proof that something is broken, and become moments you can meet with more perspective and courage. Because beneath the overwhelm, you know that nothing essential is missing. Your essence is still intact, and there is always a way back. This understanding of resilience is powerful and transformative.

I co-parent two kids with my ex-wife and am about to remarry. What I’ve learned here has helped me do that with more love and resilience.
